nudge play guitars, kid606 likes
Portland's Nudge are a terrific three piece that use everything they can to bang on stuff. Their record last year for Kranky, Cached is brilliant. Put it like this:
"Nudge demonstrates a remarkable range and mixture of real time playing and electronic processing. Rhythms hint at dub reggae or African patterns while the accretion of electronic textures goes on above and below the melodies and beats. But its their latest 12" on this great label called Community Library that has me stoked. I reviewed it for XLR8R a while back and forgot to mention it. Let them mention it:
